Hey buddy. Hows it going?
I might have time to cut the opening for the wonderful hatch you sent me. Almost finished with my Thousand hour Pilot house.
Oh well, I've always wanted a Skipjack or Farallon, with the full P house. So now I've finally got it. I'm heading out in the Dirty Girl 2, inflatable tomorrow, to scuba for lobster, look for Hali, and maybe even a Humboldt. Oh, and some Uni, and scallop, and maybe a rock cod.
If time allows, do a little free dive at North west corner to look for a Homeguard YT.
Today, Fiberglass marathon on the Dirty Girl sisters.
Hey Mark,
I have been reading through the radon thread on here a lot recently and you have been a wealth of knowledge and info on the subject. I am from Santa Ynez and ran an greenough 17 for a number of years and respect and admire the other commercial vessels around SB, radons included. The greenough ended up being sold last year and I am now looking for another boat. I looked at a radon 20' today and was curious about your thoughts on a few things. If you're ok with it I'd love to run a few things by you.
Thanks, Chris
too bad i wasn't there when you were, would have been nice to meet ya. i know exactly who Jerome is, he's always hanging out at the Hot Dog shack near the launch ramp. really nice guy every time i say hi to him.
i hear ya about the crowds at Rincon...that's exactly why i have my Radon. the other day rincon had 100 guys on it, i went out to Chinese Harbor at Santa Cruz and there was only 5 of us sharing all kinds of waves. Plus i'm a goofyfooter and would rather be surfing a left anyways. let me know the next time you head up this way, had i known i coulda taken you guys for a spin on the boat. I hope you project is coming along well.

Hi I saw your boat at the harbor last weekend. I was getting information on Radons from Jerome Betts at the store there. He is a life long commercial diver and seems to know more about boats than anyone I have talked to so far. He wears a baseball hat and glasses and hangs there at the store drinking coffee. If you don't know him already try to meet him someday. He is the dive boat guru..I went out at Rincon with my 25 yr old son...too many wave gluttons for me to have fun but it was easier to surf in Ventura by the river there..My boat is coming along slowly but surely, I hope to have it in SB this summer.
