Started Freediving and Spearfishing this past Fall (2012). Been an Elite level Triathlete for 15+ years and ocean swimming for 10+years and always wanted to spend some time below the top foot of water. Got a few limits of fish and normally 1-2 lobsters per evening dive (limit once on bugs). Have a few buddies to dive with, but many times would like to go out when one of them isn't available. Typically hit Mesa, 1000steps, Gaviota area, and PV as my norms. Been out to Santa Cruz for some scuba and freediving on occasion too. Would love to get in the water at some new spots.
