    Hey,

I have gotten some info from you on here about diving the IR near Merritt Island. Your user name came up the other day in a conversation. I know that you fish for a living, but would you mind giving me some direction as to where to dive in the IR or BR for fish and stone crabs. I dove the 405, but not much there.

    Thanks,
    Darin

    Hi Moocrunch,

I can appreciate your not wanting to see constant advertisements on SB. We will try to slow them down. Of course we are in business to make a profit but I can tell you that we don't even open the register during our free seminars because we don't want people who come to them to feel like we are trying to "sell" them something. We have a lot of events coming up with the Lobster Challenge, Sea Food Cook-Off, and O2 Provider Course and I was worried that some may take offense. When you are in town please stop by and say hi. All the best.... John

In regards to the O2, I get if from airgas for making nitrox. I used to use welding O2 but switched to aviation because it is actually cheaper. It is the same stuff, at least at this place. They say the only difference is the aviation is tested for moisture content and has a tracking number.

We keep a bottle of O2 on board for emergency purposes for CO2 headaches. The real risk is if you have it in a scuba cylinder to have it very well labeled so nobody grabs the bottle on accident. There have been numerous fatilities for that reason.
