About 10 years ago, I talked to Mr. Paul Diodatti regarding the striped bass spearfishing prohibition. He recommended sending him a letter, so I organized a letter campaign and we sent about 40 letters asking for a change in the regulations, only to be told that it was not only a regulation, but a law. At that point, I was not a citizen, so I dropped the campaign.
I may still have copies of some of the letters, so if you are interested, just let me know.
Enough to said that I'm in favor of allowing spearfishing of stripped bass in MA!
