You would be good with either one. I would not use the Masahiro on the Sheephead, as the scales would dull the blade. Because the YT and WSB have soft flesh, the Masahiro would be best, although the Forschner will also do well. Personally, I only use my Masahiro on soft fleshed fish (YT, WSB ling, halibut, etc.....) and use the Forschner on the tougher scaled fish (sheephead, rock fish, kelp fish, etc....). If you can afford it, buy both. If not, buy the Masahiro and a good Japanese wetstone.

Hey diablo my name is Erik we have never talked before in person or online but I respect you opinion on this subject. I'm looking at two knifes the Forschner 10in bone breaker and the Masahior 240. I would be using this knife to break down yellowtail, White Sea bass and big sheeps. I have seen you talk a lot about these two knifes.

    Bryan...

If you've got room for me on Friday and possibly Saturday night, I'll gladly help out on the expenses.

    jason,

Never got a chance to finish my conversation with you. Mike, Kevin and I were watching you dive. We were all impressed at how well you dove. Your experience shows. If you had a good freediving suit, you would be much better, due to the flexibility allowed in the suit. As a scuba diver, having started freediving with a scuba suit and then changing to a freedive suit, i can tell you that it made a ton of difference. Look forward to diving with you again.

As for the BABL tournament. Yes, people do bring their families. But as a member, the club only covers member and one guest for the campsite. I do not think their are anymore campsites available in the campground. You would have to call and check with the KOA.

    Hey Bryan,
Saw I missed a call from you last night. I plan on sending in a membership form and cash snail mail. Are there any families coming along to the Ab/Ling campout? Not sure if it would help my chances of coming or not. Had a great time yesterday, nice to dive around a group of competent divers. Look forward to joining in with the Tritons, and will make sure to do plenty of scouting before you guys come down.
