Aeris F10 malfunctioning - help

Hey y'all,

I have an an older aeris F10 (bought in 2009) and has been doing quite well all those years until very recently, it started malfunctioning. There is no evidence of water intrusion whatsoever and I changed the battery, but to no avail. Basically it will spontaneously go into diving mode but display erroneous data and the time will also freeze.

I tried contacting Huish outdoors (apparently dealer for Oceanic) but they said that they will only deal with Oceanic, and not Aeris, or that if I send them my aeris, they can sell me a newer oceanic w/ ~20% discount.

Any thoughts where I can repair my aeris? Seems it needs recalibration, and the fact that oceanic does not want to deal with aeris seems absurd.

If I am unable to do so, then I will convert into sunnto...

Cheers

I had my watch stick on a depth once. It had a low batterry so I changed the batterry and it worked like new again. If you dont need a new battery, just depower and repower the watch and see if that works.

Thanks for the feedback. That's what I'm contemplating, but the d4i is a good $600+. Need to save a bit...

I am not familiar with getawayFK's issue but I recently came across a different one.

I have an F10 V2 (from around 2015), while all my alarms and settings worked well and were kept intact since the last battery replacement, the freedives get split into two groups while freediving the same day (well under the 99 count), for example dives 1 through 25 are shown and after a pause (boat moving to different spot) they start at Dive number 1 again instead of 26.

I contacted Oceanic and there was no one in Tech Help, they referred me to Huish Outdoors (Rob Landess-the tech expert for Oceanic) but still no answer.

I tried reseraching this issue to no avail and everyone I asked is unaware of such issue (could be an accidental change to one of the settings)

I would appreciate help from anyone

Anytime a dive computer glitches , suspect the battery even if new, and replace it with a fresh off the shelf premium battery.

What he said. Fresh battery.

I have the new Mares Smart Apnea and I like it. :)
