Action in Cuba

1 Attachment(s)
I've been soon about fifteen times in Cuba, one of the world top spearfishing destination.
Archipielagio de Los Cannareos..
After 2 stormy days, wind is becoming lighter and I did a little two hours diving in swimming from the beach. These typical cuban/ floridian fish: "perro perro, cubera, barra" were caught at about 60 feet depht video in one hand and Picasso 120 in the other hand. No shark, but some great difficult in swimming back to the beach because of the strong current.
Tomorrow I'll get a bigfishing boat in order to dive on my favorite spots, but it's not assured.. because here are 3 basic cuban says: it's not allowed..it's difficult..it's impossible!!
Sea you next!

Pez perro and specifically careto or macho (because of the mask) and picuda (Barracuda).

Now that's real beach sand! Makes me sad when I remember.. Nice catch for a couple of hours, that would be a very nice catch for a day's diving on the north coast anywhere between La Habana and Matanzas. So where are you from Virgili, I thought you might have been Cuban?

for U.S citizens, Canadians and others can go there pretty easily and Cuba has started catering to tourists more so in recent years.

Thank's for your feedback. Today only 3 hours diving trhough lack of gas... and alone because "El Chino", one of my best cuban friend in hunting, got problem with is own boat. A lot of snapper , hogfish, some cubera.
Pic with a nice cubera and in action with an hogfish... lobster and rhum for the lunch on the boat: that makes the life more easy!
