SPI Jetties holds sheepshead, spade and mangrove. One of these days I will get lucky and get a black drum. Have heard of some shooting triggerfish as well, I haven't got/seen one yet.

Update SUP vs. Kayak

OK so I have now speared off an inflatable SUP, the giant roto-molded ones and single and tandem kayaks. Here are pros and cons I found.

Inflatable SUP:
- easy to transport
- fairly light...

Update: I trimmed my picasso's down (2 3/4 inches) so they fit in luggage, at least for now will use these for travel. I am bringing some tape with so hopefully they won't tear up my skin.

I finally committed to trimming some fins down. I my case mainly so they would fit in luggage. I used the end of one for tracing a cut template on the second and vise versa. Haven't had any viz at...

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I have tried on a bunch of fins and had ordered the cressi gara professional. The portion just below the ankle bone is cut significantly lower than any other fin...

did you have fins chewing holes in the sides of your feet as well... and above fins do not do that? Or are these fins easy to disassemble/reassemble?

Firstly, I have an pair of snorkel fins and a pair of picasso freedive fins. When I go multiple days in a row, either set of fins will grind a hole on the outside of my foot just below the ankle...

We use the whole deck for storage. If I knew of a kayak that would work better I would start saving. With the low sides it is super easy to get back on.

Perhaps picts will help here... one sec...

As mentioned jetty hunting is legit, given good viz. Also oil rigsare great if you can get out to them. I am down in South Padre if you ever come this way...
