Re: Panhandle Slob ARS.....

I'll take those "nasty" weather days I see in your pic any day of the week, compared to what we see here in Antigua daily.

Re: Tobago here I come. Any tips or info?

I also just came back from Tobago yesterday. It was a great trip and although I didn't get to do any diving because of a throat infection, that place will always have a special place in my heart....

Re: Riffe Good first gun?

I would recommend you getting the Riffe as a starter gun. I have used and owned many guns, including Riffe, buechats, custom wood guns, Rob Allens, and Hammerheads, and my Riffe C2X ranks in the top...

Re: Help with a Roatan trip

I went on the same cruise in 2010 and Roatan is an amazing country. Went on a boat excursion but never got in the water (it was amazingly clear thought).

Re: Video and Trip Report: Grenada and The Grenadines March 2013

Antigua as some descent fish, but as I said, the vis is horrible most of the year. We have tons of small islands and reef heads surrounding the island, that have very diverse species. The fish I have...

Re: Video and Trip Report: Grenada and The Grenadines March 2013

Good diving my man! You guys have great visibility down there in Grenada. I live in Antigua and the vis here sucks most of the year. What are the specs on that light you were using?

Re: A good day for Cudas!

I loveeeee my bands tight! I end up going through them faster because they tear by the wishbone bead, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My shaft speed is incredible on my rob allen and riffe with...

Re: A good day for Cudas!

Re: A good day for Cudas!

Those are kinda long for a 55" gun. I use 20" and 18" 14's for my 55" riffe padauk gun. Shoots like a laser and easy to load.

Re: A good day for Cudas!

Same fish! Deadly suckers so dont let them fool you. They have a nasty bite that will take chunks of flesh. They get real big on this side of the caribbean.

Re: A good day for Cudas!

Bad shooting them?? Those suckers are more ferocious than trigger fish, and with bigger teeth! Every time we shoot one, we use our spear tips and pry their lower jaws off so they can't bite. I shot...

Re: A good day for Cudas!

Yep its a cowfish. We call them shellfish and they are on par with lobster in taste. We clean them and stuff them with stovetop stuffing, white potatos and okras, and then bake them in the oven or on...

A good day for Cudas!

Went on a shore dive in the south coast of Antigua on Sunday. I took my Rob Allen 120 Tuna for this job because the area has been known to have large shoals of cudas in the excess of 40lbs. As we...

Re: Best Time of Year for Middle Grounds?

I just wish the water here in the Caribbean would be that calm! It frustrates me out of this world to see you guys in FL diving in flat water conditions, when I know 6ft swells are a good day in...
