Re: Pathos trigger Booster kit is here

Didn't Majd mention somewhere that Mario might be working on a slimmer version of the the double roller mech and one that would be a straight replacement for the Pathos? Or is my mind playing tricks?

Re: Having trouble finding 14.5mm bands

Ah, I see.
I did get some 14mm from Petros that I think was 14.3mm on the caliper. Supposedly, they'll measure for you if you give them a call.

Try to PM him instead - he hasn't been here for a long time but possibly he gets a more direct email notification to PMs...

Re: Rob allen misfired

I checked into this a little deeper, asked around a bit and heard through the grape wine that the stance of RA (and possibly other manufacturers) is that you, unfortunately, can't expect all euro...

Re: Small reel recommendations

I have a few of the small LGSub reels. Nicely made and fine for fish your size. I don't know if they'll be easy to get in the US, though.

As for the float, I suspect, the main reason for having...

Re: strengthen by carbon fiber

Yeah, the fabric was cut roughly to shape and folded in half over the core - which had had a misty coat of spray glue. The seam follows the pink line in the pic below: ...

Re: strengthen by carbon fiber

Sure, that'll work. I actually have some of that. Produced locally here in China. I like the looks of it, so bought some for a small project. But the red strands are colored kevlar which doesn't sand...

Re: strengthen by carbon fiber

There should be lot of tutorials online for general composites work, though probably little to nothing for speargun CF work. That's fine as the general techniques are quite universal.
You can start...

Re: strengthen by carbon fiber

For your use, pretty much anything will do. You are not looking to build an F1 car nor a super light bike, so forget about unidirectional fiber.
Thicker cloth can be less malleable, thinner ones...

Re: Ermessub Double Roller Trigger Test

Thanks for sharing this, very good to know:-)
Back when I raced sailboats and repaired them, it was a very used trick to cut glass fiber when it had gelled/was "green" but somehow I have had less...

Re: More about the inverted polispast rollers

DB is very good, I spent a while over there before joining here. And the reasons it took me a while to join here have proven themselves to be right.

DB is awesome for freediving, too but overall,...

Re: Ermessub Double Roller Trigger Test

Beautiful work as always. I do wonder, and have for a long time, about one thing. You really don't have to reply as it might be a builder's secret and I would certainly respect that;-). But just in...

Re: Help Needed, DIY Jap Style Polespear

Thanks man!
It's basically just a combination of having too much time on my hands (I am a freelancer in a market with not enough work...), having a nerdy side and luckily access to cheap parts and...

Whatever, man. Your amazing friend's balance is still majorly douche baggy despite him finally adding a tad here. And funny how in almost every post that's supposed to be helpful he still manages to...

Re: Wishbone insert

Hi Majd,
This comes very timely as my Chinese friend and I are talking and making making inserts these days. While I like the plastic ones from e.g. SpearAmerica, I do feel they can be slimmed down...

Re: More about the inverted polispast rollers

Extremely well said. And to see that Jon still defends and deflects in these latter posts is just sad. Being introspective can never be an excuse for not taking a stand. And to say Majd instigated it...

Re: More about the inverted polispast rollers

Many ways to explain it.
Another one is this.

Speed is defined as distance traveled in a set amount of time. Just look at the format for mph, kmh, m/sec, etc, ect. They are are all "distance...

Re: Pathos 125 Sniper....A new Gun...a whole new build...pics heavy...

I see the habit of ending advice with an insult continues. But now famous Marc is "smart" enough to have left out the bad language for the time being. Perhaps the moderators did get in touch with...

Re: Pathos 125 Sniper....A new Gun...a whole new build...pics heavy...

Jon, I think you got yourself confused and got my post wrong? Of course style (setup and handling matters), we all know that. E.g. I can top up my airgun with so much air (power) that it wears me out...

Hey there, I don't have anything in my inboxes? Let me try to drop you a PM. (I, personally, also didn't order any Abellans. But at least 5-6 have made it to China in the last few months).

Re: Pathos 125 Sniper....A new Gun...a whole new build...pics heavy...

Yes, you are indeed wrong. Unless you want to also insult what many people would call a 'world class spearo', guide and shop owner from Italy who felt Majd's guns were hard to load? He is the guy in...
