Re: MVD Double Roller Mech

The DR mech is $77, not including shipping.
I think the main benefit here is a smoother trigger pull with the peace of mind knowing you won't run into any of the scratching and galling issues...

Re: Middle Ear Infection Prevention

How do you alternate your nostril breathing? I'm assuming with a plug in one?

Even with me taking antihistamines and nasal sprays, I still find that one nostril is fairly plugged up. May have to...

Re: Big Island Spearos

Just bumping a thread of mine.
Message me here on Spearboard or on DeeperBlue forums with the same name, musubi.
I'd do FB, but I've had better luck with forum contacts.

Re: Why did they quit making the Scupper Pro?

My guess is those two smaller openings are too small to fit guns or fins through. You might be able to fit a gun through the front circle hatch, but I know my guns wouldn't be short enough to fit in...

Re: MVD Double Roller Mech

Thanks for the tip on the line release. It didn't dawn upon me that different butt ends of the shafts could affect that. I'll check it with different shafts to see.

The shafts I've stuck with...

MVD Double Roller Mech

I stumbled on Mario's double roller mech that fits the MVD ZESO handle on Ermes' website so I decided to order one and try it out.

New mech on the left and original on the right. ...

Re: Why did they quit making the Scupper Pro?

I run a couple Scupper Pro's for spearfishing and like using them. They're relatively light, tracks well without a rudder, and lots of storage for me. I notice larger individuals tend to have a...

Re: Middle Ear Infection Prevention

You're right, it is congestion as the root of the problem. The allergies is causing congestion of mucus in my sinuses which is pushing into my middle ear then creating the scenario in my ear to...

Re: Rick Bettua mauled by Shark in Northern Queensland

Thanks for finding that. I think FB is normally quick to update on that, but I'm not "following" much on there.
We don't get bull here in Hawaii, but I remember Rick telling me before that bulls...

Re: finally finished

Nice job on everything!
I really like the band hook points on the bottom that you do. What reel are you using for these guns? What are the gun sizes and what band configuration are you planning...

Re: Building A classic mini Roller

I'm about to build a roller gun soon for a friend, so I'm interested too on band stretch % recommendations. From the little I've seen on it, seems people go between 330% and 380%, depending on the...

Re: Gladiator Spartacus 120 Invert roller

I've got a question. Are you just using that orange loop to pull back, or are you also hooking that on to your shark fin? I just noticed the knot in the middle of your gray wishbone and wasn't sure...

Re: treasure hunt, bobbing for led... no one believes me, well check it out

Yeah no kidding. Normally I see lead where they can get stuck easily and usually accompanied with a lot of fishing line. Seems like there's just a ton of lead resting there.

Re: Rick Bettua mauled by Shark in Northern Queensland

Sheesh, I only caught this now. I'm trying to find out through my contacts how he's doing.
I wish him and Angela the best.

I remember talking to him back when his buddy lost his leg to a...

Re: Inlays

It's a nice setup. I bet the density of the wood just reduces the recoil even further. Which rollers and what size (dia) did you use for the front and rear?

Re: Current best shafts on the market

I agree, the cost from them (Dean) was worth it. His shafts are also very straight. I tend to spin all my shafts on arrow spinners to test them.

Re: Current best shafts on the market

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but is it Addiction Spears? They're over in Cali and made my bluewater shaft. They do custom work on shafts, but do both euro and american cut

Re: Fins listing (leaning)

I haven't seen or heard of fins doing this, granted I haven't gone through that many fin pairs (4 pairs). From the many pairs I've seen however, I haven't seen a listing and wouldn't consider it...

Re: Middle Ear Infection Prevention

I'm taking Claritin right now daily. Allegra also works for me. Zyrtec makes me drowsy. Xyzal also works but makes me irritable for some reason. I'm taking Claritin in combination with Nasacort. ...

Re: Middle Ear Infection Prevention

Thanks for the advice. That's a good idea. I tried some sinus rinsing for the first time a couple weeks back and that was a interesting feeling. Not the most pleasant, but bearable. I noticed...

Re: Garmin MK2

Thanks svivian for sharing those!
All that's great info that I'd like to track during my dives. Did you select the water type and weather?
Either way, seems like a good way to track conditions...
