mine fell out once -- the guys at J&J gave me a new one. That was well over a year ago and it has been fine since (though I haven't dove in months....) Anyway, you will see when you put the new one...

you added a "2" in your "Depths are usually between 25' and 65' for bass" - plenty of bass in 5' of water. Maybe you just haven't looked, but I've seen some huge bass in very shallow water
