Re: Early Riffe Speargun

I came across one like it several years ago. I put new bands on it and used it for a season. I never could seem to be very accurate with it. Recoil caused the gun to rise and the shaft would be...

Re: Has anyone used a RIB to make a couple of floats?

I have used the bow compartment of an old rib for a float. Only problem is it takes up quite a lot of space, even deflated. The side tubes would have been better because they would roll up smaller,...

Re: Redfish Run/Spearing Drum

Yes, we all need to know the rules (and abide by them), ignorance is no excuse. I have heard this from TPW personnel. You will be cited and may lose your gear, up to and including your boat. This is...

Must have been outside of 9 miles. You can't shoot cobia (ling) in Texas state waters. They are classed as a Game Fish by TPW.:D

Re: Port A trip report from saturday

As teenagers diving the jetties in the 70's we always joked that good viz was when you could count your fingers on an outstretched hand. I think I saw viz in excess of 5 to 7 feet one time during...

I don't know what your part of the Gulf looks like. Over here there's nothing left but ARS. We went out last weekend and caught (1) one legal fish, a 15 inch vermillion snapper. Total caught and...

We had AJ tacos on the way back in this weekend. Fillets on foil a little olive oil and some Uncle Chris's seasoning. 10 minutes in the oven and dinner was stellar!

Re: Idle Iron == Junk Piles

Re: Why Americans are coming to hate cops

It's the same old CPS factor. You must starve your children, keep them locked in a closet and beat them within an inch of their lives for CPS to leave you alone! Only then will you be safe from the...
