Re: tests before selling wood

There are zero standards in this industry and the tests range from nothing (many brand name euro guns) to a builder setting up and test shooting each individual gun.

Now, here follows my personal...

Re: Our friend has passed. Kostadin SEAL

I can't, personally, figure out if the FRV is cheap or expensive, though as a freelancer I sometimes think the latter. Furthermore, what is expensive to one man, is cheap to another so I don't think...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

Thanks for elaborating. I was hoping that if the jig was precise and holds enough parts (sears) it could still be doable and feasible pretty much by dropping and locking in the parts. I don't think...

Re: POL:Make Spearboard Great Again

When censorship grants me freedom from the crap in PnR (and this attempt at dumbing down the issue) I happily vote for censorship.

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

I don't want to sound the least bit know-it-all'ish but when I saw the front cradle design I have to admit, I was slightly confused. The thing that caught my eye was that the area of contact is so...

Re: Bands with no holes

I'd love to see your inserts. Incidentally, I just cut a few on my little lathe the other day and downsized them a tad from the plastic inserts I bought in the US. I reduced the outer diameter of the...

Re: Rubber crumb

If it doesn't have to be rubber, then we have talked about carborundum here before. I have some on a very nice Pathos grip I made and on a few other guns. If you can't find anyone who sells it, then...

Re: Inverted roller - Upgraded to Vela System

I am still 90% an airgun devotee but do try to educate myself on pulley rollers so your point about not wanting the bands to fall off and flap around got me confused. Don't you need to unhook the two...

Re: Alemanni Demultiplied Rollerguns

Upload them to youtube or vimeo and share the link here, that should work.
As for format, normally H264 works but most editing softwares have export presets now, so you can just use something that...

Re: Loading Polespear-At the surface? At the bottom? When you see a fish?

Now that I've had some more time in on my diy polespear I can add a little to this thread; I installed a rest hook on my spear so I pretty much always load on the surface. I use a single small ID...

Imersion US dealer?

If you don't find any, then bands shouldn't really be brand specific. Even if you have screw-in bands you should be able to find replacements from other manufacturers. Just measure the size of the...

strengthen by carbon fiber

I think you have to just bite the bullet and get going with sandpaper on a block. You might be able to snip off the worst strands with sharp pliers or shears depending on the cloth thickness....

Special thanks to Majdq8 for his contribution in 2017

Ah, I missed that one. Though Majd mentioned he had a video of it, I misunderstood and thought it might just have been the spectra as part of a gun test. But thanks, I'll definitely check the...

Re: Special thanks to Majdq8 for his contribution in 2017

It's an insane amount of work that Majd has put into all these test and tutorial vids and I, too, am grateful. I feel hesitant when hoping or asking for more from him but on my personal wishlist is...

Carbonia, novel speargun?

Looks beautifully laid out. When I saw it, for a sec, I thought Gladiator had merged with a new brand;-). Looks like bank of 3 rubbers on the bottom with a kicker on top. Nice looking lines and...

Re: Gladiator 100 - Testing platform

Gotcha, I did indeed miss the kicker, sorry about that but the inverted rear pulley band is still different. Personally, I find the Gladiator guns just a hair prettier but then again, I always liked...

Gladiator 100 - Testing platform

I just did, and my thoughts are still the same;-). But maybe I'm missing something...? But I don't see any demultiplied Alemannis with a kicker band just as I don't see any new Gladiators with any...

Gladiator 100 - Testing platform

I could be mistaken but I don't think Alemmani has a gun with the setup that Nevin has been using for some years now? The Gladiator guns are generally demultiplied (pulley) guns with a kicker band....

Our friend has passed. Kostadin SEAL

I agree with Jon on the weighing points. Don't just think of being neutral at target depth (which it seems Kosta sadly could have been far from). Think of the energy it takes lugging that lead back...

Our friend has passed. Kostadin SEAL

I would think that an FRV with bigger than planned canister (if you're dragged below the max depth you ever planned on) combined with dropping your belt (and having minimal weights already) should...

Re: Pathos trigger Booster kit is here

Very cool. Do you know if it works on D'Angelo 1 handles as well?

Our friend has passed. Kostadin SEAL

The drift currents in Perrin's clip are pretty crazy but not at all uncommon in Indo. I am currently on my first trip here and I have already experienced similar speeds. The scary thing is the latter...
