Re: Recycling's dirty secret

Now that China and east Asian countries are no longer buying our recycled garbage most programs in the US are disappearing. It was a sham from the beginning. We bury and or burn 99.9% of our garbage...

Re: Bahamas or Tortugas ?

Bugs? I'm plenty used to camping on the boat but it needs to anchored far enough offshore to make sure there is no bugs.

Re: Bahamas or Tortugas ?

Way scarier places in the US. Warnings apply to drunken coeds visiting unsecure party zones outside of the normal tourist spots.

When you check in you can follow the rules and keep firearms and...

Re: Anyone Been out lately ,Stein , Cedar Key area

Was out Saturday with no vis and after this next storm I doubt it will be better. Plenty of fish caught trolling in close if you need meat. Spearing is likely done for the season.

Re: Project Boat Discussion: Tips, Ideas, Mistakes...

Move the cabin back a foot or two. You will still have plenty of room to roll and fish and you will have that much more hull in front of you. Trust me it made a huge difference in my SeaCraft. Before...

Re: Moon landing faked?

After the first blatantly post edited, pro hoax video I was done.
Also, cameras focused on black sky only see black sky unless there is zero ambient light. I could go on but it is really pointless....

Re: Moon landing faked?

Marcus, go outside tonight and take a picture of the moon in the sky and see how many stars you see and get back to us. You are way to smart to hitch your conspiracy wagon to not seeing stars in the...

Re: How to tap an outboard engines water cooling system for on board hot water?

Yep, high tech, lean burn 4 cylinders that push bigger boats than the one your building. I think they are hands down the best option without question power and money wise. Weight and fuel economy...

Re: Pinellas county/Clearwater area diving in less than 50 feet

While I am a little more insulated than most I draw the line at 63-64 but now that gags close first of the year I don’t even bring a wetsuit.

Here you go Marcus...

Re: Pinellas county/Clearwater area diving in less than 50 feet

We went Sunday out off CK and had to get out past 45. All the bait was there on out. Crushed them in 55 and the water fine fore barebacking it. Vis was 15-20.

Re: How to tap an outboard engines water cooling system for on board hot water?

My first internet search showed a single 200 being $12,240 and I believe you'll get a better deal with twins.

Re: How to tap an outboard engines water cooling system for on board hot water?

Pee holes are feed from the pressure sent up from the pump before it hits the block. Either remove the check valve from the flush fitting or if the motor has serviceable block corrosion anodes you...

Re: Project Boat Discussion: Tips, Ideas, Mistakes...

I totally agree with the 30 motors. 25s take a bath way too often on a bracket when coming off a plane and at low speeds.

Re: Project Boat Discussion: Tips, Ideas, Mistakes...

I just checked the specs and going to the 250s gives you more displacement and a far superior induction system. I also checked the Tohotsu and it is bolt for bolt the same motor.

There is no doubt...

Re: Project Boat Discussion: Tips, Ideas, Mistakes...

I have a friend that went with the Tohotsu (Honda) and got ridiculous good pricing. They are just black Hondas with a different sticker.

Re: Project Boat Discussion: Tips, Ideas, Mistakes...

Considering they are exactly the same weight, I would go with the 250s. No reason not to as the price point is negligible. Are you going with 25" or 30"s

I like the layout on everything but the...

Re: More from Spearcrafters... 762x54R PPD

Been using them for over 15 years with no issue with recoiling, even when the shaft doesn't exit the muzzle. There is a design characteristic in the ones we use that prevents that.

Re: More from Spearcrafters... 762x54R PPD

I remember when we first started building prototypes of slip-ons nearly 20 years ago and tested different rounds for power in a stump off my Dad’s dock in Dunnellon. A local gun shop had a bin of...

Re: 36" Cobia minimum size proposed - thoughts?

In all gulf federal waters commercials have the same limit as recreational fishermen. If your state waters allow more than that needs to be addressed. If sporty commercials are filling their coolers...

Re: 36" Cobia minimum size proposed - thoughts?

The Gulf commercial fishermen have only harvested 32% of their reduced ACL to date so if panhandle guys are pounding them it must be some super secret thing going on. I personally have been working...

Re: 36" Cobia minimum size proposed - thoughts?

There is no doubt there are far fewer cobia now than there was 10+ years ago. Likely due to the huge increase in fishing pressure as well as a reduced breeding population. You don’t need a college...
