Re: Any bow hunters on here?

If I had to choose between those 2, I'd go with the 3g. Slightly heavier and a little more brace height, I like the weight because it'll be a little more stable and the brace height makes it more...

Re: Any bow hunters on here?

Try measuring yourself finger tip to finger tip and dividing by 2.5 or placing a meter stick on your chest and stretching out your arms as far as you can then bringing them together on the meter...

Re: Any bow hunters on here?

Bear, PSE, and Diamond make good bows for a reasonable price. I'd go check out pawn shops for a Hoyt, Mathew's, or Bow Tech.

I'd also go check out www.archerytalk.com that's where I learned a lot...

Re: Any bow hunters on here?

It depends on how strong you are and your draw length. For squirrels and rabbits 20 pounds is more than enough to take down small game and for deer 30 pounds will do if you use good arrows and a 2...

Re: Advice on first pneumatic

Sorry, I should have explained myself better. As a back up I meant if I shot a large fish in salt water and for some reason it kept thrashing and I wasn't able to knife it I could shoot it at a...

Advice on first pneumatic

I was thinking about getting a small pneumatic gun as both a back up when in saltwater (2nd shot for whatever reason, maybe low viz.) and lake fishing. I don't need it to shoot much farther than 5-6...

Re: Advice on new fins

I saw your post yesterday, sadly I don't have money at the moment and they're a size too small for me.

Re: Advice on new fins

I think what I'm going to do is just wait a little longer and save another $150 or so for some nice FG or carbon fins. Is there a certain stiffness you guys would recommend? I'll be doing a lot of...

Re: Advice on new fins

Do you use Omer foot pockets? I think I remember reading a thread you may have commented about those fins? (Your profile pic looks familiar).

I was thinking Mako FG fins or saving up for Omer foot...

Re: Advice on new fins

I had actually just finished watching that video on your website! They look like great fins for the price, and the fact that I can upgrade if I don't get FG is good too. The fact that I already have...

Re: Advice on new fins

There's a lot I need to learn haha this is a little tougher than I thought. And sorry for assuming carbon was stiff, I have a lot of archery equipment made out of carbon and it's all stiff as hell,...

Re: Advice on new fins

I think carbon would be a little too stiff for me right now, I haven't swam for extended periods of time in a while and I think my legs would cramp or I'd get tired too quickly. And what about the...

Advice on new fins

I'm looking into getting my first pair of fins, I will be doing mostly near shore spearfishing (about 1000 feet from shore) and only about 30 feet deep and maybe freshwater lakes. I was considering...

Re: 'Bout time! Texas here I come..

We always make "chicharrones" with the meat, here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=FOxx2ZNNUP8

I've also eaten them as "fish steaks" which were pretty much just...
