The other thing is to move slow. When you dive, do so slowly, with your hands or gun in front of your head, so you don't crack your dome on the bottom, or dive into a sunken tree.

I have dove twin lakes. Got this bad boy there!

Seriously though, it was cold! That and the altitude made me not want to dive there for fun. Plus down at 80', vis was zero.

Chuuken, In the area I typically dive, we are not allowed to spear in rivers, but are permitted in lakes and reservoirs. So we dive in the still water upstream of a dam.
