Re: Has anyone worked on developing speargun sights?

Its accurate because that how sights work!

I believe speargun accuracy has 3 main critical facets.

1. A well set up gun/shaft that will consistently send the shaft where you point it.
2. A...

Re: Has anyone worked on developing speargun sights?

For the last year or so I have running a rear sight on all my guns and am very happy with the consistency of my shooting.
A simple lag screw (for fixing stainless steel wire rope balustrade) from...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

Yeah definitely not rolling on the front. Which is a shame as the shaft leaves the mech really well, which you would expect from a rear roller! But getting it to that stage is just horrible right...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

I received a replacement mech today that has the front reinforcement, spring return line release, resolved rear roller skew issue and the wider front cradle roller.
The shaft aligns and loads...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

55 shots, back to back, though a 3cm hole @ 5m is tight...hard work too.

You have me excited again Majd...any idea when these alternate parts will be available and will it be through Mario?

Re: Sporasub america one alternative

Devoto sub shafts here in oz are just about the same price as a RA shaft and freely available with cone fitted $5 extra.
Manny sub shaft also freely available and also excellent quality but really...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

I base all my builds around the D'angelo 2 and would love to get a double roller mech into them. I don't have a gun with a handle suitable for the original Ermes DR mech and have yet to shoot it. But...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

Mine looks different as I cut off the rear fixing eye...it was in the way of my rear sight. I cant see that affecting performance any, as the mech is fully retained by the rear pin.

I did put my...

Re: 64" Blue Water Build

Not really... bad shot placement ie. too high or too low and the shaft is gonna tear out 1 flopper or 2 as your'e not going to slow them down any and they're gonna pull on it with full strength. Just...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

I sanded the front roller cradle and made sure it rotated freely, as Spearq8 suggested and that marginally improved the loading issue.
In the water, the trigger pull is the same... a few mm of...

Re: 64" Blue Water Build

Spearomurray, jon’s advice is spot on regarding the kingfish. We take many kingfish on the east coast (20 to 30kg) here with 7mm shafts and 2x14mm bands and as long as you are patient, they will come...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

Spearq8, you are right...these mech's should have been tested before being released. I tested mine in the pool today and was astounded at the level of downgrade from the standard pathos mech!
Apart...

Re: Double Roller Trigger for Pathos handle, Ermes Sub

Hey kodama

My dr mech arrived today and like yours, the back roller pin seems too short. With no shaft in the mech, either side is free to come out of the slot and the back roller will jam up...

Re: 120cm Carbon Cuttle/Pathos Assembly

Yeah it took a bit of mucking around but I have my own pool so it wasn't too much hassle.

It is well worth the time though. I'm not going to tell you (or anyone else) how they...

Re: 120cm Carbon Cuttle/Pathos Assembly

Cheers Majd

I agree, the bolts on the muzzle are as ugly as a hat full of arseholes but this ain't a show pony kinda gun! The muzzle works well although the line guide isn't the best set up.
