Re: Lionfish Shooter with small trident

What he said. These guns are pretty much standard in any Mediterranean country, used for reef hunting small fish.

Regularly 30-50ft. 50-70ft occasionally.

Re: Band stretch. Where is the upper limit?

I’ve been using the Mako band tying line. Super rigid and unstretchy. I’ve changed out the bands and am now at 380% and I’ve been meticulous tying the bands and had no inserts popping out since.

Re: Band stretch. Where is the upper limit?

I’m changing the old bands and going down in stretch. Had the wishbone inserts popping out a few times, I guess that alone is a good sign of the need for a little less stretch. :)

Band stretch. Where is the upper limit?

Where is the limit when band stretch starts to degrade performance?

I reused some old but good bands and had to cut a little. Previous band stretch was about 380%, and now it’s like 412% on the...

Re: Daily Vis report thread

The so called safety is a false security. It is common knowledge. Plenty of threads on the forums on this topic.

Never point your gun at something you don’t want to kill. That’s the only safety. ...

Re: WTF is wrong with gun manufacturers???

I might be wrong but au think he was aiming more at the larger manufacturers rather than the smaller passionate ones.

The easy explanation is laziness and money. They deliver a gun that can shoot...

Re: Full face snorkels

Those things are for surface use. I would try one just for fun, but I would never consider using one for freediving or spearfishing. Imagine trying to equalise that thing! Lol!

Problem with brand new carbon fibre fins

A very valid point. On the other hand, most of those carbon parts are made to be rigid, not flexing like a fin which means a more solid resin coating is preferable vs a thinner.

Re: Problem with brand new carbon fibre fins

I would try to find someone with a set of C4s (which kin do you have btw?) and ask if it looks the same on their fins, and if it’s common on the C4s.

Wouldn’t hope much on C4s customer service as...

Problem with brand new carbon fibre fins

Comparing the holes to the Pathos:
The Pathos are very small and evenly placed over the fin. It is outspoken because of Pathos strive to use as little resin as necessary for lightness and flex.

Re: How do you equalize when you have a speargun and a light?

Hands free EQ. Works for me as deep as I can go ≈ 25m

But I still have my lamp attached ti the wrist with a stretchy lanyard. so I can do other stuff with my free hand.

I don't know if this...
