Re: Eye of the Tiger

Provoked and not provoked are pretty long standing classification methods for a shark attack and they make sense too. I would explain provoked as when the shark attacks as a reaction to something...

Re: Bang, Bang...on Independence Day

I've taken to stringing fish through the jaw. I got tired of seeing my fish with their eyes popped out. Good work Tone and Alan. I take it Alan got a ski too (BatWing)?

Re: Freediving Miami 7/5/08 - Nice Blacks and Jacks

To first answer the question, without a doubt the fish is Davie's.

Embellishing a story is nice but accuracy is important too. I was near Davie when he dove and breathing up but not in a way that...

Re: surfunc shot a 40lb black grouper

Gerald, it was good to meet you. Damn I hate being wrong about the weight, but it sure looked to be a 40 pounder. Actually I'd check that scale for accuracy, Kris didn't gut it by any chance before...

Re: The sweet spot between stock length, band length/stretch and recoil

There are no limitations to gun length or otherwise with hip loading. Any gun that can be chest loaded can be hip loaded with an added butt extension. Hip loading is also less painful and requires...

surfunc shot a 40lb black grouper

Kris shot and landed a 40lb, maybe larger, black grouper yesterday (Saturday). A 40lb black is exceptional for these here parts. Gerald has the pics and Kris has the story. The conditions were ideal,...

Re: Going from straight to angled blades (fins) and footpocket wobble

Interesting that Bill got his edge blades today and yesterday I got to try the edge blades. The reason I'm focusing on the edge blades is because I like fiberglass blades, am interested in the angle...

Re: Power Heads .44, .357, .308, .30-06, .223, 7.62 (AK47) & more

For us people who are interested in PH this is not new, you're talking about a radiator hose, at least that's what I think it's used for in the automotive industry. No one can convince me to trust a...

Re: How Not To Use a Float Line

Good of you to post that, it will help someone who hasn't done it before get an idea. Working a float line is an important skill. Yesterday, on top of a being a lively 15-20lb cuda, as I was working...

Re: Power Heads .44, .357, .308, .30-06, .223, 7.62 (AK47) & more

The rubber hose has always been a problem. A PH maker here on the board said he solved the problem by going to a plastic hose rather than rubber. I have one of his PH but have never got around to...

Re: The sweet spot between stock length, band length/stretch and recoil

An interesting bonus, the bands are inline on top. Since I like rear handle guns it looks like the gun could have even more power, the band hole can be closer to the trigger mech. Have rear handle...
