Re: Have you speared another spearo?

I have not pounded on them at all. They have suffered enough already and they have probably learned from their mistake. If you are angry, don't direct it at me. All I am saying is; Do not point the...

Re: Have you speared another spearo?

I had my trigger fail for no apparent reason but it was pointed at the bottom. I point it there so if it happens, it will not hit anyone.

Have you speared another spearo?

Spearing another spearo is irresponsible and easily prevented. With or without a safety, it is possible to live your entire life spearfishing and not spear a fellow fisherman. I know hundreds of...

Re: Diver spears diver

Yes, bad things happen but THIS was easily preventable. How many good spearos have speared anybody else?Almost no one. I have not heard of it form anyone else but kids and a few kooks. They did do a...

Re: Hyperventilating Doesn't Work, Really.

Re: Hyperventilating Doesn't Work, Really.

Thanks Dave, it reminds me of something I read about Tom Sietas. He did a static for over ten minutes and his frst contractions came at four minutes! If he had hyperventilated, it may have delayed...

Re: Before FII...After FII

The guy in the middle did a dive to 7,824 feet! Wow! I will take the course! That's 237 atmospheres! Just kidding! I can't read his depth. It must be 78 ft.? IDK

Re: Messing Around With the Bubblers Down There

Yeah Paul! What if he gives a kick and his whole leg falls off! Huh? What about that? You didn't think about a startled diver losing a limb did you?

Re: Messing Around With the Bubblers Down There

No way! As a PADI rescue diver, I must say that Paul's antics can be dangerous.:thumps: What if he scares some scuba diver and he freaks out.

Re: Hyperventilating Doesn't Work, Really.

Thanks for the response Dave! The two last breaths bring up my heart rate quite a bit. I might try just an exhale followed by an inhale. If I know I'm going to 30 meters, (deep for me) I will...

Re: Diver spears diver

Why did he have the gun pointed at Connor? That's just plain dumb. Always treat the gun as if it could fire randomly at anytime. I would not even rely on the safety.

Don't point a...

Re: Wake up call, Shallow Water Blackout. Dive safe!!

Maybe doing 30 meter dives after a long spearfishing session should be avoided. Kolt is an awesome diver and if this can happen to him, it could happen to anyone.

Thanks for the bump...

SERprise, we had a grey milling around on the bottom and Ron came up from a dive pointing down. When he surfaced he said that a grey was darting around at a high speed. I told him to get ready...

Re: Hyperventilating Doesn't Work, Really.

Dave, would you say that it's safer to just do tidal breathing and endure the contractions instead of hyperventilating to feel comfortable? Recently I've been exhaling to just below frc volume and...

Re: long fins vs. short fins
