Re: New Ocean Rhino/Biller Free/Line Shaft

Re: Cedar Key Salvage

Here is were I will leave it as far as clean up. I plan on making a small cocktail table of it to go next to a recliner.

Re: GoPro hero session

For as much as they cost I wouldn’t run it without the case. Just too many interface ports that get opened and closed often that could fail. All it takes is a hair or piece of dirt to let one drop in.

Re: Cedar Key Salvage

I’ll pick up some muriatic acid this week to get it cleaned up. I like them looking old like they are but will get rid of all the marine growth.

Re: Cedar Key Salvage

Not quite sure on the age but the frame will be ready for harvest in a couple more years. The glass on this one is pristine and an inch thick.

Cedar Key Salvage

Rough Saturday offshore but no shortage of gags and great vis. Knocked down our limit of fish before noon and decided to do some salvage work for the man cave deco.

Re: Photo of the day

Sold her 28 years ago when my first wife was pregnant with my son for $5200. It was just a gutted 69 fastback I set up for street racing on the Tampa side of Gandy Bvld.

I doubt it is real with those ridiculous fender flares. If it was the owner would have spent the money to bring it back to stock considering they go for about $400k...

Re: Never buying Nike again.

For a second I thought you were talking about politicians but I guess you are talking about me. I could care less about what you think about the NFL or any other thing your panties are in a wad...

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

Piddling around in 50 with the sidescan I found a few new spots and made a good day of it.

Re: Video - Summer 2018 off Tarpon Springs

Good, consistent work with the second shaft. Using multiple shafts to land fish is a discipline that not all freeshafters have learned to do efficiently. Nice work!

Re: White plague affecting more than half the coral reef along Florida Keys

When I spent summers down there as a kid the waters were always Bahamas blue and now they call the keys the Emerald Islands:rofl:
I guess green is the new blue.

Re: I give you the endangered Goliath Grouper(s) !!

I think there would be more reported injuries from inexperienced shooters dropping a line shaft into 400 lb toad and getting dragged into a wreck or getting wrapped up. It’s nothing the dive...

Re: I give you the endangered Goliath Grouper(s) !!

How well known was the wreck. All of them hanging high in the water column like that usually indicates regular feeding from ham and eggers. Likely a spawning related but if they are getting easy...

Re: Anyone have a newer World Cat 23cc in the area?

If you are wider than 86 you have to have a permit. The 28 Kevlacat is 92.

Re: Anyone have a newer World Cat 23cc in the area?

You made the right choice considering the loading you will do. Takes a way bigger cat to haul your load and the cost of one that would do it would quadruple your budget.

And while displacement...

Re: Anyone have a newer World Cat 23cc in the area?

Spent a lot of time on a 21 Kevlacat and did well lightly loaded but was misery with a dive load. The 28 is a monster but you better not have to trailer it much and will require a wide load permit.
