I know that southern CA coastline has a lot of DDT and other nasties in the sediment. Which sections of the CA are cleaner

aluminum is fine. i shoot a 140. consistent shots on dinner plate and smaller fish. out to 20' no prob with one 20mm band. two wraps for two 16mm bands.

for three bands maybe an edge barrel or...

They are 1/8" thick steel, so they'll hold up very well to weathering. Many of my patrons install them outdoors. You can let them rust up or paint them with boiled linseed oil.
