Re: Can DFW confiscate gear AFTER the charges are dropped?

I'm going to have to disagree with the prevailing sentiment in this this thread.

Re: Harvesting Mussels for consumption. (need advice)

I have harvested mussels locally. They are good, but I think the commercial ones are better. The medium sized ones taste better to me than the big ones.

Re: Seal THROWS man 10ft! WTF

Yeah I'm sure you are right and it did not look like he was hurt. I was just surprised no one instinctively grabbed the dog by the collar to hold him back, considering the ferocity of that mofo.

Re: Seal THROWS man 10ft! WTF

Looked like the dog got bit. Kind of a douchey owner IMO. The guy getting flung was pretty funny though.

Re: Spearfishing Kook of the Day- Sponsored by Instagram

Probably some med diving. Fish were shot at 120 feet after lying motionless on the bottom for 3 minutes.

Re: Primary light recommendation?

I have a shockwave and it is a great light, but for bugs I find the UK Mini Q40 eLED+ to be more than adequate and much lighter to swim around with.

Re: ABSCALIBUR at the NCUH Big Ab Big Ling!

Nice irons. They look fairly labor intensive.
I'm confused though...Isn't "Big Ab Big Ling", the contest that Tino has organized for the last eight years?

Re: Brand new to Campbell from Seattle

Your best best for good diving conditions is to either drive south to Monterey/Carmel, or if you want abs, drive north to Sonoma county.
Both areas have plenty of easy safe access for beach diving....

It's a litle bit of a drive for you, but David Laird does a 6 hour class that is not too much money and covers the basics of gear and technique.
