Re: Mexican Panga - What size engine?

Personally I have had bad experiences with E-Tec's. They're fine for light duty, but make them work hard and they'll blow up. I suppose on a Panga it wouldn't be bad, because the design is a easy...

Re: 8-10 Paddy Hopping SD

Great Post! I'm jealous, if I end up in SD I have to try that.

Re: Dr650se 4 sale

It's a good rig, I have ridden a regular DR650 and the DRZ400SM, the 650 makes a much better SuMo. I have a KTM 625 Supermoto, Brembo brakes, full WP suspension, Keihin FCR carb, the whole set-up....

Re: Dr650se 4 sale

Location? Pics? I have a KTM 625SMC so I doubt I'm in the market but that might help with your sale.

Re: Please wear a helmet

It's like a life-vest, motorcycle helmet, or bullet proof vest. I'd much rather wear it and not need it than not wear it and wish I had.

Re: I did something probably no-one here has done...

No pics, a buddy of mine shot him bad, he got off and ran into a small diameter piece of culvert pipe about ten feet long. There was angle iron on the bottom there and I told him to grab a piece, I...

I caught a black grouper in a dive bag once.

Re: Jax Report ?

Yeah, we were in 65 ft but I think it might have been close to that, I was too focused on finding fish (which I didn't) to notice the cold.

Re: Jax Report ?

I'm no good at judging water temps, it was cold. I wore a 6.5mm with a 1/3 hooded vest underneath and I was fine. I would say low 60's. The boat is a big cabin cruiser so it had a ton of wind...

Re: Jax Report ?

Yeah, went out to 9-mile reef on Saturday. Surface conditions were flat calm, lake atlantic, viz was shitty, 15'-20' at best. Would have been good if we had gone out further, but we got a late start...

Re: 9mm bulk ammo for sale

Damn! I wish you were local! I can't find 9mm anywhere. If you do decide to open up to shipping it shoot me a PM, I'll probably take it off your hands (depending on shipping costs)

Re: Big Mako

As long as they were killing it to eat it then fine, go for it. But I wouldn't kill it for sport, I don't spear purely for sport, I (or grateful friends) eat everything I shoot.

Re: Big Mako

I agree with Pirate Diver, they are beautiful creatures, and it's a bit of a shame to see one killed like that.

Re: Riddle me this....

I'll ship a box of them to you. You can pick it up outside any publix, just pay a $3.50 shipping and handling fee to the girl out front in uniform and she'll give it to you.

Re: Spearfishing in Jacksonville?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I did most of my diving in the Keys and all of my spearing there, a 4 mile boat ride is a long trip! First time going off-shore Jax was in a 17ft boat and we were...

Re: Riddle me this....

It's called the "great circle" route, going north over the globe is actually a shorter distance than going straight west.

Here's one to mess with your mind, the return flight will (most likely)...

Re: 2-21-09 War on Cobias

Still a nice boat. I ran a 256 as a charter dive boat in the keys with a 300 Suzuki 4-stroke and I fell in love with that hull design. I had that boat out in 6-7's and never had any issues.
