Re: 14 mil bands that are "softer"

Thanks to all of you. I always appreciate the feed back I get here anytime I have a question. When I get some new bands rolling I’ll post the results.

Thanks again my brothers!

14 mil bands that are "softer"

My go to gun is a 62" Alexander with a 5/16 shaft and mori slip tip. It has about 54" of band stretch. I typically set this gun up with 4x9/16 bands. A while back I had used some bands that had a...

Re: maybe: stolen gear???????

I saw that ad and thought the same thing. One little detail like “Mori” would give it a lot more credibility and a lot better response.

Re: smoking price on a seabass gun

Steve Veros made some really nice guns. They are all extremely high quality. This is a really fair price. Great gun for the reefs and even halibut on clear days.

Re: How far have spearguns advanced in the last 10-15 years?

I have owned some pretty modern guns that either weren't accurate and/or fun to swim with. Currently I have three guns. All of them are over 15 years old and all of them are super accurate for what...

Re: WTB full setup - what do you got?

X2 on the Mako gear. You’d be lucky to find a used gear bundle for less money and it’s all high quality.

Re: Passing of a legend: Dix Roper

When I think of him I think of Cedros and huge yellows. Sounds like he had a full life. Hats off to the guy.

Re: Guessing it will be another Great Tuna Season!

Hey Bob, congrats on the 7.3. I’ve got 550,000 miles on my 1999 and absolutely love it. It’ll pull you’re Parker easy. My Superduty pulls my 18’ Seacraft like nothing.

If you ever have an...

Re: Band suggestions

I run 4 x14 and have found it to be really smooth yet powerful. It’s also easy to load.

I haven’t tried the small ID bands yet because I’ve been so happy with the performance of the regular 14s. ...

Re: looking for new wetsuit

For years I have been using Mako wetsuits and love ‘em. They’re made with Yamamoto rubber and have the ultra stretchy buttery feelthat is warm and comfy in the water. I use a 5 mil year round and...

Re: teak float

Nicely done! It looks great. I’ll bet the added mass reduces any recoil and the float makes the gun a lot easier to swim with. Please give some feedback

Re: The Coronados: Don't be One of Those Guys..

Spearfishing at the Coronados may soon be a thing of the past. If there was ever a time to “represent” its now. We need to set a higher standard than the rod and reel guys out there because it’s...
