Re: N.W. Visibility Updates

Hit The Secret Spot yesterday. Viz was good, 10-12 feet, and not too surgey despite the 15' swell on the outside.

Re: Potential for new fresh water opportunities in Washington and Oregon

Max, we already did some preliminary work on this but it was going to be a pretty long time before our proposal could be presented. I'll forward you the email I sent to one of the biologists. Would...

Re: N.W. Visibility Updates

For those of you that don't have an unfilled elk tag you may want to hit the water. I had to work in Oceanside today and stopped by Barview for a quick check on the way home. Viz looked good from the...

Re: N.W. Visibility Updates

Checked the Columbia viz yesterday on my way home from Idaho. Terrible. Not sure if the carp could see me looking for them but if so they were probably scared. They will live another day.

Re: Trip report for Fri. the 18th

Haha, yeah I had a couple of unexpected backflops also when lifting the leg up for a water entry. Took me a second to realize what happened also:thumps: Damn you East winds!

Re: N.W. Visibility Updates

Video viz report from this weekend:
https://youtu.be/No4sRG6PPzU

Viz was about 8' but it was so gloomy and grey topsides that it was basically a night dive down on the bottom.

Re: Barview meetup

I think next year someone needs to remember to schedule this for November. Max was right, no one wants to dive the day after Christmas:) Despite Tom's predictions of a terrible dive two of us were...

Amazingly the weather forecast seems to be holding and looks relatively good for this meetup. I reserved spot #50 for my trailer, look for the Thor Vortex car hauler if anyone wants to meet up pre or...

Re: the Spearo Warrior - Mike Pierce fights Dec. 11th

For those of us that can't roll to Vegas looks like pay per view or head to your local bar that shows UFC. I'm going to try and watch at my local dive bar. Good luck Mike!

Re: Barview meetup

Max, I'm sorry it doesn't work with your schedule. Hopefully others will be able to make it work. Next year we should probably do this in early November before everyone's schedules get jammed up with...

Dec 26th it is then. High tide is around noon so plan on getting there a few hours beforehand. I am most likely going to spend the night in my RV so I will reserve a spot. We can all meet up there...

Re: Barview meetup

Well, seeing how Dan and Tom (not necessarily in that order) run Barview I'll leave it up to them to pick a date. Tom it seems that you are more concerned that we burn a sufficient amount of firewood...

Re: FII Level 1 Class

Unfortunately I'm not certified to teach level 2 and 3. It's pretty tough to dive deep with a thick wetsuit and heavy weight belt so it's pretty rare to find the level 2 and above classes taught this...
