Cheap Lionfish cage

Lionfish are slowly becoming a problem in my area. I dont care to pay the $90+ for the offical Zookeeper so this is my solution. What do yall think? I should be able to get off shore and try it out...

Octopus advice?

I would appreciate any advice on method or tools I should try using to catch and cook an octopus. I keep seeing them on the hard bottoms at 100'+ in little holes about 2"-3" wide.

yeaa i was being a little reckless. I remember I was starting to worry about him tearing loose. Once I can get that good grip in the gills i'm happy.

We really lucked out and drifted over this area then saw the crazy sonar feedback and dropped in. It made for a great dive, we also came across a big nurse shark and a massive Loggerhead sea turtle....

Well the only Cobia we could hook were on the bottom, and it was just Spades, Amberjacks, and sharks within 60' of the surface. We still had fun but no trophy fish.

(lol @ wood guy) i'm not sure what my dive rite bcd can do but i was happy we found the rope. It was a little hard to keep from tangling in it but we just took our time and it worked out pretty well.

Lol Right! it's so unfair to the anchors. Damn I would be thrilled to find a high dollar anchor, I have seen one monster anchor snagged on a barge about 20 miles off but didnt want to screw with that...
