Re: SLO Dive Conditions

It looks like we might have a decent dive window next week. Don't forget to get a new fishing license for 2017 too.

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

We did have a pretty narrow dive window this last week (Monday-Wednesday), but it turned bad on Thursday with the storm. Next week's forecast does not look too promising: A 3- to 5-foot...

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

I got in for a few hours last week at PSL. I saw a lot of anchovies in tight, but no halibut were seen. No dust clouds, no footprints. I am sure they are around, but they were not there that day.

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

I usually check the water several times per week. I stop at a few spots on my way home so I can see the trend over time. I also check with my usual buddy group.

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

Nice! Get any fish?

I got in today off the Pecho Coast. It was a solid 9 foot, green vis day. Surge was pretty strong, and the swell seemed to be growing all day. I did not see anything I would...

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

I did a Pecho Coast work dive on Friday. It was calm enough but the vis was not there. Heavy murk was clinging and I could see perhaps 5 feet. Water was warm, 56-57 degrees and there was a lot of...

Might be a very narrow dive window at the end of next week. Thursday-Saturday might morph into something okay. Fingers crossed!!

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

Okay, things have looked pretty terrible lately. I have barely been getting in the water and I am super behind on all my dive work. This needs to let up! It won't (according to the forecast).

One...

Swell is down, but it still looks brown out there. Get ready for another swell bump too...and another...and another. Good winter for chores.

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

Get ready for some more heavy energy. I was out ON the water yesterday and it all looked brown and terrible still. I hope nobody likes diving. Perhaps a nice target rock swim?

Now that you mention it, I have found at least a half dozen wsb heads over the last couple years. It is a pretty short list of possible predators, seals/sea lions, sevengills, GWS. Also there has...

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

Yeah, I am sure most of us at work have been checked out, unbeknownst to us. That wsb diving can be spooky for sure. I'll bet those sharks hunt the big seabass too.

Re: SLO Dive Conditions
