Re: Aimrite King Venom 100cm setup questions

A shorter shaft would give you higher shots. Your brain will correct it overtime. Take some pool practice and you will master it.

I would cut the bands to 300-320% to start. Everybody talks about...

Re: SKOGSTA, the Ikea speargun…1st build, few tools—

Your gun looks great! If you allow me to make a suggestion, your wishbones are WAY too long! It takes a lot of band stretch and doesn't make them any easier to load. I would shorten them AT LEAST to...

Re: My first speargun built, Teak Midhandle Open Poured Track

I like what I see.

Don't you think you should machine the blank a little more to the back so the bands sit flush when loaded to the last sharkfin?

Re: Little Boat

Low weight, easy to trailer, easy on gas and good on rough seas would be a RIB. It's what most spearos use in Europe. Problem is that the baloons take a lot of space compared to a fiberglass boat....

Re: Another band calculator question ugggghh.....

Spearq8: Haven't you found more difficult to load bands with longer wishbones? I did. Because when you pull, you tend to separate the bands and the wishbone becomes perpendicular to the shaft, making...

Re: Another band calculator question ugggghh.....

There is a lot of info about 380%, which for any reason now seems to be the magic number...

I would cut them to 330% and then decide if I want to go to 380%. For me is excesive when bands are...

Re: Custom suit/zipper opinions?

What he said.

And if for any reason, the neck is still umconfortable, you can put a deflated basket (or soccer) ball into the neck area, inflate it and leave like that overnight. It works wonders....

Re: RA Threaded Shaft vs. Stainless shaft for Mori Slip-Tip

Then you also have the contact between the slider and the shaft. You should grease that too when not in use. I'll go with SS, but if you already have the shaft, use it until it rusts.

Re: RA Threaded Shaft vs. Stainless shaft for Mori Slip-Tip

What he said. Remember that when two different metals are in contact, there will be electrolysys if they are uin a conductive media. That means the "weakest" one (ie: RA Carbon steel shaft) will...

Re: Venezula is dying

USA sanctions aren't against the country, but against some government politicians (individuals).
Unfortunately, there's no "clean" ellections in Venezuela. All is manipulated.

Re: Traveling with Spearguns/Gear

I would recommend you to buy gear in Turkey. You'll be surprised with the price difference compared to the USA.

Re: Trigger mechanism

No. "auto reset" is related to the line release, not the shaft. Shafts always lock in place by themselves in good mechanisms.
