Hey All - Here is a gun I put together in the last few weeks (been designing it in my head for the last few months)
I will be taking a long trip through Mexico, and Central/South America in the near future. My idea with this build was a gun that can be broken down and fit in a back pack, but still have the good range for different fish and hunting styles.
It shoots a 2-piece Riffe shaft (meant for their Euro Travel 90cm gun - 7.1mm). I have both the flopper and threaded shafts for it. It is enclosed track for a little over half the length of the gun.
I'm using Neptonics' reverse trigger, reel (removable) and AR15 handle setup (removable). The rest of the gun was built by me - the rollers were lathed out of delrin rod, the muzzle pieces made out of carbon fiber, and the connection system out of stainless rod and tube.
Right now I'm running 14mm bands.
I've put it down range a few dozen times with great results. Hoping to do some real testing this weekend
I have a ton of photos of the build process if anyone wants to see more. Here are a few glamour shots my brother took.
