I'm curious; how long after having frozen YT can you de-frost and eat raw?

I have defrosted ahi that was frozen for a month or so, trimmed the outer meat, and eaten it raw. Was pretty decent. Not so sure how that would go with YT though as it seems to hold that "fishy" taste quite a bit more than tuna does.
