March NC Trip
So seeing as there's not much going on freediving-wise in VA in March except tog, and I feel that I should give them at least a little bit of a break after last year, a few buddies and I were considering taking a trip down to Wrightsville beach area at some point in March.
Certainly not asking for hotspots or anything- we're just in the initial planning phases right now and if anyone has any tips for the area you'd be willing to share, it'd be greatly appreciated. Will have a 19' CC boat, three experienced freedivers good in water up to ~80 ft, gear for anything from sheeps to cobes to bluefin. Thanks in advance guys. |

South of Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower. Grouper are closed until May. some decent Hogfish about, plus lobsters (may be with eggs that time of year?).

You should go stay at the tower. Sounds like they are setting up mooring balls and running an on the water B&B. Looks pretty cool.
