Re: Ameracat 31

The 31 with the 250 etechs will go 49 mph, the contender with the same is 56mph
I think Ameracat with the etechs is getting about 1.5 in the mid 30's

The Ameracat with the new 300 yamahas is going 59mph, he said they could do better with different props but left it as is because its a charter boat in LA and hauls a heavy load. The contender I rode on last year at the boat show with the same power was 62mph.

JimC - Is the 31 on the water yet? After following this thread for so long I am interested in the final product.

I was down at the factory yesterday to p/u my 27' that I'd have 'em do some stuff to.......
If I'm not mistaken, I thought I heard Steve say that the 31 with 300 yams blew a powerhead with 15 hrs on the engine. I'd like to see some fuel flow numbers with that setup.

Re: Ameracat 31

Nice looking boat with the sea foam green, Jim was it you who said they had the fuel tank located under the helm instead of on deck behind the driver? the photo you posted above with the divers has a different seating than the other Ameracats I see, guess you can get what you want with a custom order huh?

Re: Ameracat 31

Yes the boat is custom, so they will add whatever you want.

Capt. Gene had the tank put in the console/helm they are normally in the leaning post.

Here's another with blue sides getting ready to be rigged.
