FS: Mako 110cm Predator Pro railgun

Selling my barely used Mako Predator Pro 110cm, I have taken this guy out 3 times so far just not sure it is the gun for me. Shoots like a laser. It has 2 16mm blue bands (upgrade) and the additional stock pad. It has been rinsed with Freshwater after every outing. Also rigged with a loop of Dyneema for easy floatline attachment.

Asking $180, local S. Florida sale only please.

What did you end up replacing it with and what bothered you about the setup?

I haven't replaced it yet. I'm going to buy a Riffe euro.

I liked the gun, nothing was wrong... I made the mistake of shooting a buddies riffe

I liked the Mako, heck I may buy another in future as needed.

Those Euros are well liked but that's too big of a price jump for a manufactured gun for my tastes. For a little more you could get a custom gun. I tend to favor a Euro style mech over an American one. Have you looked into the Pathos Laser spearguns? Sooooo nice and you could spend the rest of your budget on accessories and gas.

I will definitely check them out, never saw one before. What makes them so nice? How do they compare to rob Allen's?

From what I understand they are very well built and thought out guns. Andrew sees a lot of guns and seems to be fond of this one. I haven't shot one or held one, so your gonna want to get your hands on one to see for yourself.

Re: FS: Mako 110cm Predator Pro railgun

I have the pathos 110 laser carbon with the ergonoimic handle and pathos vertical reel. let me tell you, it is by far the best railgun I've fired. Shoots like a laser, very well built, and they have the reputation for that in Europe. Its the official speargun for the Greek national spearfishing team. I plan on getting several more model sizes to add to the arsenal. Also, this gun replaced my riffe Hawaiian mid handle.

Re: FS: Mako 110cm Predator Pro railgun

did the 110 pathos laser come with 7mm shaft(flopper resting on muzzle)and two 17.5mm rubbers. If so how does this set up shoot in regards to range, accuracy, and recoil? How do you like the pin line release? If you could only have one size would you go with the 120? sorry for the interrogation but im really interested in this gun. any help will be appreciated.

The shaft is either a 6.5 or 7mm, but I don't have it in front of me. For the carbon model there is some kick but the way the handle is configured directly behind the pipe it doesn't recoil up at all. It shoots with a lot of velocity too, put the shaft clean through a smaller yellowtail. The gun is very easy to shoot and goes where you point it. A very straight shooter even at range( I still need to shoot something thick at range but I've done just about everything else). With regards to the pin. It is nice, I like how when you pull the trigger the line release gets pulled into the gun, no snagging possible. Its a clean design.

As far as the size gun you should get, it really depends on your diving enviorment and what you're targeting. A 120 is a great gun size though and very versatile. If I were you I'd probably get a 75-100cm gun just so you can shoot in holes or when viz is limited and you don't want to carry around a cannon

thanks trevor for the quick reply, highly considering buying the laser 120, just wish the muzzle elevated the bands. now its just down to carbon or not to carbon, does it make a difference in the shot. oh yea and wheres a good spot to buy online.
