UCSB/Isla Vista Diving
Third year student at UCSB and live on the water in Isla Vista (not to shabby) and can't handle not diving during bug season. Anyone in the area do any diving in the Isla vista area? never seen anyone else out there. Visibility looks to be very marginal at best most of the time but theres enough eel grass in shallow to where I think you could get away with it. Found a thread from 2006 and wondering if anyone recently has been checking things out in the Santa Barbara area.!

Re: UCSB/Isla Vista Diving
Devereaux is absolutlely loaded with life, they took away the single best dive spot in the greater Santa Barbara area.
But be careful, its beyond Sands, the MPA extends to near the river mouth west of Sands...

Re: UCSB/Isla Vista Diving
Find mlpa maps. Start looking outside that area. You live in a fish trap.
