Triggerfish

Short trigger fish season. Opened August 1 in state and federal waters with a 1 fish/person limit. FB18-055:Will close in FEDERAL waters August 17. Catch target was 217,100 pounds. Not sure about state waters closing.

I really haven't seen many. One yday but was prob 10in. Years ago fishing atlantic side of Mex caught a bunch H&L. Tasty. Wonder why so sparse here

Just learned about this - my last two I shot were 14 3/4 inches - finding a 15" is hard in less than 100 feet of water, it seems. Damn, I was really hoping for more time this year to get some. Tomorrow will be my last hope.

Maybe, if you had dropped a HP120 steel or bigger tank on those 2 trigger fish. They may have flatten out to 15".
