Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
did you contact them? DiveR is notoriously slow in responding, you don't have a good chance of them warrantying them.
and by kicking off the bottom, your fin physically hit the bottom? There is a difference between kicking OFF of the bottom and kicking up from a dive.

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
You could be the 0.00001%... call the place you bought them from and ask them about the warranty first. Then come back here and you can keep posting nonsense if you like.

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
Just to clarify did you use the blade to push off the bottom?
We've had customers put DiveR blades through tremendous abuse for many years and have yet to see anything like that. They must be some of the toughest fins on the market. Regardless if it is a warranty issue your first port of call would be through the retail outlet. Bummer you broke your blades. Hope it works out.

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
Call Austins.. first. Also, did both fins break or just one?
For the fin to break into three pieces in one incident is pretty amazing. Either there was a defect in the blade or they were subject to some INCREDIBLE abuse.

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
Those look like the original carbon fiber DiveR fins from over 5 years ago. I didnt think they make them anymore.
Did you drill the holes in them? It looks like they snapped right at the drill holes. I would try Facebook instant message. I've had 4 pair and I beat the crap out of them. Still going strong. C

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
That sucks... Just replace them with plastic blades. You don't need 500 dollar fins to shoot fish or dive deep. Cressi Gara for the win!

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
I don't know anything about those fins, but I do know Doug Austin from Austin's Diving and I have always really enjoyed working with him, and he has always gone out of his way to provide me with the best customer service he possibly could...
I would call Doug at Austin's and see what course of action he recommends. Good luck! Sincerely, Jim

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
Best according to DiveR is Carbon Beryllium, then Carbon, then Composite. This is the 3 materials they are currently producing.

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
I have a pair of soft honeycomb carbons and love them. Best blades I've ever worn.

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
Most fins breaking these days are jumping from boat, or getting weight belts on them in the boat, stepping on them and then they break and you don't know that they had that problem beforehand.

Re: DiveR Fins/ customer service
I would send them another email. They responded to my questions within 24 hours when I messaged them.
