Need a Boat?

Post here if you are looking for a boat or if you have space on your vessel for other tournament divers.

Re: Need a Boat?

Is there a list available of Teach's Lair Marina charter boats that cater to freedivers?

Re: Need a Boat?

We went out on the Good Times after our boat decided it didn't want to play anymore. Capitan Andy was great and I think we all had a really good time. pun intended

Edit: I think Ren and crew are hooking up with Capt Andy again so it might be a full boat.

Re: Need a Boat?

Single 300hp. Less fuel consumption and I don't feel the need for speed. I bet it will still run great and on a good day I will still cruise @ 27knots. It's a good day on the water if you can cruise @ 22knots. I'm I going to have it done, this thing will be done by the middle of this month.
Matt, the Wilmington Taliban talk like they aren't doing the tournament this year yet you're leading the forum?
Oh, I have added a few photos to show my progress on my new sled(ride, boat).

Re: Need a Boat?

You need to scratch off the "thru" and put on "Ren". That thing is going to be so cool!

Re: Need a Boat?

I plan on being there that weekend - I'm a relative newbie and will probably enter just for the experience, but I have a boat with space for several. If anybody wants to throw in for gas, let me know and we can set something up.
Also, even though I live a few hours away, the boat lives near Oregon inlet and I will probably be there any weekend with decent weather. Give me a shout any time with a few days notice, not just the tournament weekend.

Boat is a 27' Maycraft Pilothouse w/ twin 225 4st Suzukis...

Re: Need a Boat?

thanks Matt - I figure I have all that extra deck space, might as well bring somebody that knows more about all this than I do so I can pick their brains a little. Really a little more boat than I need, but I was going way too far out in my old 19' single engine CC than safety or sanity allowed for...

Re: Need a Boat?

If you are ever heading out and short a diver let me know...I'll hop in the truck in a hurry. I have a good many numbers for the area and have put a fair bit of time in the water up there.

Take care-
Matt
