Get an open cell suit. You won't regret it. I don't use lube. Just get some water on your body, dunk the suit, and then pull it on real quick. It's super easy and just as fast as a closed cell suit. I used to use a 4mil closed cell when I started and my 3mm open cell is way warmer and more comfortable. Browse Amazon. They sometimes have really good deals. I got a nice Omer suit for like $100.

I went out Tue & Thur the 11th & 13th, and the bottom vis on the wrecks dropped off to under 10 feet. the seas were 3 foot both days though. When does your week start?

Back in jersey tonight. Might do a shore dive tomorrow in BI. Then trailering to avalon to head out Tuesday morning. Might get a dive in at the end of the week too, but definitely Tuesday. Seas are looking to be pretty calm

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Jumped in for about an hour today at the start of the outgoing. Had about 5-7 ft viz at the start and dropped to about 3 by the end. Lots of small tog with a few keepers. I saw a big one at the start and passed on a lot of others in hopes of seeing him again. Ended up not shooting any. But got a few triggers and a big sheepshead (8lbs). Seems like this calm weather is helping g

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Did a wreck in about 80 ft off Island Beach state park. It was dark with vis about 15 ft on the bottom less on the surface and bottom temp 55F. Not a lot of fish on this one but managed a few nice lobster. The surface appears to have had a plankton bloom

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Got out on the boat and hit some offshore locations. Hints of Bluewater at around 20miles. Otherwise clean but green. Lots of trigger fish, but not much else. Dove a few wrecks and saw zero keeper tog. Not sure where they all were. It was wierd. Came in and hit some rocks and bridges and shot 5 nice sheepshead. Inshore water was around 3-4ft viz. It was shooting at stripes im the murk for those sheepshead.
