What is the best and worst tasting fish?

So what does everyone think is the best and worst tasting fish?

what to shoot? what to avoid? and what to go after on a mission for?

zebra perch, black sea perch, rubberlip, black craoker, white croaker, kelp greenling, sheepshead, calico, sand bass, halibut, rays, leopard shark, halfmoon, opaleye, rockfish, lingcod, cabezon, scorpionfish, sargo etc...
No Pelagics(WSB are semi-Pelagic so they dont count) just local fish.

Ranking will be 0-10

0-being horrible 10-being best

Lets here it...

ITS MY FIRST TIME DOING A POLE AND NOW I CANNOT EDIT IT. INSTEAD OF VOTING FOR BEST AND WORST, JUST CHOOSE THE BEST SINCE YOU ONLY GET ONE SELECTION! THANK YOU AND SORRY ~ SCOTT

Re: What is the best and worst tasting fish?

Halibut- 10
Sheephead- 6
Cabezon- 9
Calico- 9.5
Sand Bass- 8
Sargo- 6
Opaleye/ Zebra Perch- -1

My favorite fish to hunt are Sand Bass, Calico's, WSB, and Halibut. Sandies and Halibut will settle back down most of the times if you don't spook them too bad, that's why I like hunting them.

Re: What is the best and worst tasting fish?

My list is short and sweet, due to my wife and daughter insisting on the following:
Halibut-10
Ling-9
Sculpin-9
Angel Shark-8/9
Sheephead (ceviche)-8
* I like spotted bass, that's the only reason I take one on occasion-8 (tacos)

If it's anything else, I have to lie about the species and fry it in batter.

Re: What is the best and worst tasting fish?

Halibut, ling cod, and kelp greenling - all 10
Salmon, have to catch it on a line - 10

Anything else, meh. I'll cook whatever I get, but I prefer the fish above.
