Homemade Ladder Flasher
So, I decided to put the router to use, and had some extra material to make a flasher. I cut and bent plexiglass, and stuck holo tape to it, ran shooting cable through some aluminum C channel, and added weights on the bottom. Each flasher is bent so it has some movement through the water, and each flasher spins independently with the help of barrel swivels.
Small overview at Just got finished, so I haven't had a chance to put it in the water, but soon.... |

Re: Homemade Ladder Flasher
eBay. Paperstreetplastics. Super easy guy to work with. Cheapest tape I've found. It's also called hula hoop tape if you can find it elsewhere. Please note that the backing of the green and yellow tape is silver, so don't buy silver tape...I got 25 foot of it that I don't need now. Let me know if you want silver!!

Re: Homemade Ladder Flasher
Very very cool, i was going to make one of these ladder types but mine seems to work well so far. Once any of the three i have now breaks I will try one of these.
Hurry the heck up and get it wet, let us know how it works. |

Hopefully this thread helps someone!! Next run will not be a ladder. If you are going to build one, go with a single line with blades hanging. Way easier. |

But most have glass mirrors and I was concerned about breaking them and having bits of mirror stuck in me... what do people recommend? |

I also doubt you will break the pieces off too easy, unless you are doing some serious flinging in the boat. |
