man, that`s horrible. The cameras and him slipping out of their grasp is just excrutiating.

Not necessarily, if he lost consciousness before the surface and released his air he would have sunk even if properly weighted.

Proulx07 not to get to into debate on causes, who knows and too late, but normal protocal for deep drops say 30 meters is to be neutral at 10meters. For most that equates to floating after blackout on surface. Deeper depths less weight. It is really hard for a spearfisherman in blue water to follow that as makes you bouyant shallow but then again you aren't making deep drops. I know diving and listeneing to several freedive instructors from PFI and AIDA and seeing 3 in water blackouts one at 8 meters just this winter removed a lot of weight from my belt. A true trajety that will be repeated i am afraid. I have 3 boys and I feel for his parents.

Wow, how am i just hearing about this? I watch all their videos, and they are truley inspirational. They have kept me motivated and enthuastic about this crazy sport i have come to love. My condolences to his family and friends. Great group of guys, i hope they will continue to dive and put out videos.
