Post Up! Is nobody shooting Red Snapper?

All the hubbub about red snapper reopening, but I haven't seen any photos yet.

I was a bit disappointed, only saw red snapper on one rig this weekend, and couldn't manage to get a decent shot at any.

Re: Post Up! Is nobody shooting Red Snapper?

We got our limits on an overnighter last week.

Got my new PB on hook and line. We didnt stop until the 80mi rigs and with the water so clear the RS are so deep they are out of my freedive range. The best RS hunting I have had was within eyeshot of tanker row. The shallower murk had them within an easy dive. Did get some nice mangroves off the rigs before going to the floaters.

That is nice, Yan!

I'm ignorant of "tanker row"..what/where is that?

Thanks. Not speared but she is still a good 'un.

There is a line of container ships and tankers about 10 mi offshore that are anchored and waiting for something or another. You will see them before the high condos when returning to port.

After Ike, when big ships were not allowed back in the HSC, the que stretched dang near all the way to SLP

Ahh, I see.

Freeport is the closest to Houston that I've launched from, so I guess that's why I never saw 'em.
