$400 dollar Panga
Well guys I finaly got my new boat. She is a beauty. Ofer was nice enough to snap these pics for me when he was down in the area. She is now fully licensed and ready to work. We will have her for the full day charter of $400 bucks to take her to the islands and back with Naty as the captain. We are transfering our electronics from one of my other boats so she will have full 3D bottom graph, GPS, etc. Also of course a very nice VHF with a 50 mile antenna. Her top speed is around 50mph so on a flat day we can get to the islands in 30min.
Thanks agian Ofer for taking the pics for me! If you look at some of the pics you can see the walls going up on Natys new house! If you are interested in chartering out the new boat please pm me or contact me in some way. We have lots of mexican customers also so we hope to keep her pretty busy. [/quote] Oh yea, the boat is located in Puertecitos about 4 hours south of the border on the sea of cortez side. GTB

Re: $400 dollar Panga
Dale, what are you expecting to be the maximum number of divers that boat can hold?

The trips are all day from sun-up to 4pm. You need to bring your own lunch and gear to dive with. Lots of fish in right now...

Re: $400 dollar Panga
Dale,
That is a great setup. Wish we had that at the Puertocitos Open III. We would have gotten to a few better spots than we were able to in the Zodiacs. Next year for sure, if I don't have a boat of my own to tow down. tell naty I said hi when you see him and thank him again for the help with the tow hitch issue.

Re: $400 dollar Panga
Thanks for the posts guys!
The area is thick with grouper and snapper right now, with yellows on the outside of the reefs. Now is the time of year to fill that area in the freezer reserved for Leopard grouper fillets. I am heading down soon to do a freezer trip (a couple of weeks) it will probably be my last fully guided trip that I will do. there is just more chance to have the boat work when it is on a per day basis. I guess I will have to retire my turkey sandwich making skills....... The castle will be for rent for 250 per day also if anyone is interested.

Re: $400 dollar Panga
A great guide with a well equipped, licensed, brand new, fast boat with shade and a nice house on the water for 650.00 a day... divided by four divers = 162.50.
Just get down there, and eat the local food and bring beer money? F&%$ Dale, thats a great deal! And the fish are in right now! Congrats on the sweet set-up. |
