Re: bissilom wood (Khaya senegalensis)
standard classic handle and the new ergonomic handle with trigger guard can fit inside the handle to protect the trigger .

Re: bissilom wood (Khaya senegalensis)
Good results ,one important note trigger must be having enough clearance where the arrow pointing otherwise semi engaged and misfire will happen ,evo back is for 3 band or less ,this set up 2 × 16×340% 7.5 mm salvimar spear 130 cm ,is it ok or need more power ?380%14.5 is good but not in stock now

looking at that last pic, theres plenty of mass to power up that 7.5mm shaft. and the recoil handle and grit grip.......personally i'd have at least a pair of 15mm small ID Primeline [~14.8mm diam] bands at 380%. 16mm if youre comfortable loading em! |

Re: bissilom wood (Khaya senegalensis)
Hi guys,
As I like the accuracy of that style ,I made one more replica from sapelli 120 gun with 150 7.5 mm spear 2 15 370 cressi rubber ,my modification was on gun shape ,handle shape and butt width ,unfortunately sapelli wood was lighter than my calculation ,the wood stock without any metal weighted 2.6 Kg ,it ll need a 1.4 Kg ballast to be neutral , all Stainless accessories with spear almost 850 gm , remaining was a lead hide in front and back ,coated with 5 layer epoxy and 2 top varnish UV . I missed the first step before choosing the shape of my wood ,usually I take a small sample and check the buoyancy ratio then decide according to the percentage which shape the gun should be . |
