A word to ERRIN

It has been years now and I hardly had a good word to say about Lompoc Local. I always had a reason, or another, to bitch about the quality of his comments, or the fact that I had to call him to go dive. However, within the last year I looked at all my gear and despite the previous, I am still using much of the gear I originally purchased, even if it is because I was granted replacement items by Lompoc Local.

Just to clear it up, this isn't an invitation for one of those unpleasant complaint sessions which often comes about with the mention of Lompoc Local's name. I honestly don't care, nor do I want to hear it again. Instead, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank Lompoc Local for being fair to me. One thing becomes apparent when I evaluate my personal friends. It is that they're going to have opinions that differ, sooner or later, regardless of how much time I spend on it, or where I go. Where I find my friends now is my business, although I have made my preferences known, even if no one really noticed.

I guess the question remains, why I would even bother to say anything at all? I basically think we all have a voice that means something to someone, even if it means nothing to many. Essentially I want to do what I owe, and that is to give thanks, since I feel it is due.

Thanks again Lompoc Local for keeping me in the water and being good to me, my friends, and my dive buddies.

I had a Lompoc local break on me at 60' down once, and I've had numerous Lompoc locals tear, causing me to almost loose my weights

I had a Lompoc local in the boat once but he was short so I threw him back. I'll try again next season.

Lompoc Locals have been 'no-take' since the 1400's due to being overfished by Cabrillo and his crew, at which point the garibaldi took over.

Re: A word to ERRIN

There once was a Lompoc Local
Who speared only with a flopper and was quite vocal
He went on a trip
Tried out a slip tip
Then said "Oy! Them MAKO fanboys are yokels!"

Errin is always quick to put me down and make fun of me. But let's face it, I totally deserve it. Thank you Errin.
