Question Has anyone seen these exotic groupers in the S. Carribbean Region or N. Brazil Shelf?

A scientist is asking this question (edited for clarity) about the possibility of two invasive exotic species normally from the Indo-Pacific Ocean being sighted in the Carribbean or North Brazil Shelf:

Quote:
The question is, has anyone ever heard of either E. polyphekadion (camouflage grouper) or P. laevis (blacksaddled or giant coral grouper) being caught in the southern Caribbean or North Brazil Shelf region?

I'm guessing the answer is no, but stranger things have happened.

Alternatively, can somebody think of any deep-water grouper species in the North Brazil Shelf area that look very similar to either E. polyphekadion or P. laevis, and thus might have been misidentified?

Neither species looks much like the commonly landed red grouper, yellowmouth grouper or yellowedge grouper.
I am aware of this recent post by KeysKid of a Humpback or Panther Grouper in the keys:

Humpback Grouper shot in South Florida?

Here are images of the two groupers he is asking about. The first image is the camouflage grouper.

.

The next two images are variations of the blacksaddled or giant coral grouper.

The camo grouper looks like a really big rock hind at first glance.
