Haven't finished it yet, but it should weigh @8lbs all rigged. And, you can sling a Fat Sea Bass over the butt and put the gun over your shoulder and carry the thing.
54.3 inches with a 7.5mm shaft and 2 18mm bands sound about right?
Should be a pretty darn good combo for seabass.

i had a WSB swim directly under me last year from behind. i didn't shoot it bc 1) i was kinda stunned and 2) i had a shorter gun with a flopper and hesitated further bc i wasn't really rigged properly. then it was gone.

so in your veteran opinions, what bad would have happened had i shot it with a flopper from close range?

why is a 90 a bad idea but a 130 is fine if you are in range for the 90?

why not shoot it in the head with a 90?

i'm not being a smart*ss or challenging anyone, i honestly don't know and am just curious

If you want us to take it out for a test drive let me know. I can put it in many bad ass hands and we will provide honest feedback. For every WSB that was shot we will stamp names along with weight and we will ship it back to you.

Obviously we will have a thread going on.

My friend sandy tells this story of getting buzzed by a huge swordfish on a paddy when he was diving with a 100 and a reel.
I guess it got so close he could of almost touched it before it swam off
The first thing out of my mouth when he finished the story was "what do you mean you didn't shoot it?!?!?"
I'll go for the glory shot every single time when it presents itself and its worked every time but a few times over the years. One because I shot a gulfie in the head with a 90 and I know better. One time gear failed and another time I don't really know what happened.
But anyways to answer your question I would have shot it in the head, strung him up and continued on with business as usual

My point is that Ulusub guns can kill giant tuna so white sea bass should not be a problem. He's not in need of your opinion, just reminding us to consider buying one of his guns and be well equipped.
