Here's my new anderson 26 for 24k. Just picked up a 1994 KD 43 (230 HP) with drive harness, throttle, gauges, everything for instal with 1200 hours for 5k. Greg at channel islands is putting it in next week. Can you say stooked? yup

If you look up a KAD43 the engine ALONE is 10 grand for a 2001. When I heard the entire full package was for 5kish I hopped on it like white on rice. Boat comes with radar and a nice simrad unit. I’ll keep the radar and simrad for radar (really like a separate screen set up), but buy a 942xs garmin with through hull duscer for chirp. The boat came with fresh gelcoat and all the grunt work done. For anyone looking for a radon, Anderson, wilson.. don’t give up there are deals out there. Keep your threads up “looking for” and people will contact you over time. Many people MANY will tell you it cannot be done and you’re very stupid for thinking it’s possible to afford as an average joe. The other day I was visiting my mechanic and he had a customer who bought a 24 ft what looked to be a ply glass radon (at anchor down marine in Atascadero) old urchin boat he was working on. It came with a rebuilt Volvo penta 0 hours and 0 hours on the drive. He got the entire deal for 15k. Unfortunately the seller learned he had cancer and needed to sell immediatey. He’s going to use it for commercial but wants to convert it to twins... crazy I know, he has a brand new Volvo penta but wants twins for commercial. The boat will be used in SF. So that engine might be for sale if anyone’s interested. Last edited by Cameronv; 10-31-2018 at 06:00 PM. Reason: Waffles |

Re: California Dive Boats -- the legend of Radon (pictures)
Looking for advice and referral for a hard top or bimini enclosure. This is for a Skipjack 20 open. Ive looked into Atlantic Towers, Pacific Yacht towers, Dan Shannon, but their hard tops are about as much as the boat,
Anyone had luck doing something different ...or you just gotta pay up and do it right the first time? I kinda half assed a T Top on my previous boat and would like something nicer this time. Thanks ...from Santa Barbara SB

Just be an adult and have Jeff or Ed build you a pilothouse.
It will LITERALLY be the best investment you can make on the boat. Comfortwise. Obviously not financially.
